How It Started!

The Raw North began with a plan that was never meant to last.

 

Danny, the founder, arrived in Sweden for just a five day vacation. Then the world shut down. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he found himself unexpectedly stranded in the Arctic Circle — isolated, uncertain, and far from home. What could have been a moment of fear instead became the moment that changed everything.

Surrounded by endless forests, frozen lakes, midnight suns, and dancing northern lights, Danny fell deeply in love with the rawness of the north. The silence, the seasons, the struggle, and the beauty stripped life back to what truly matters. Days were shaped by weather, light, and movement — not schedules. Over time, this place didn’t just feel like an adventure. It felt like home.

 

After some years of living here, growing through the extremes, and becoming an experienced  guide, Danny felt a calling to share this life with others.

 

The Raw North was created not as a business, but as an invitation — to step into the wild, to disconnect from the noise, and to experience the Arctic on a deeply personal level. Every journey is a reflection of the place that changed him forever.
